Vaddio Chosen as The Videoconferencing Peripheral Equipment Company of the Year 2010 Vaddio wins Videoconferencing Peripheral Equipment Company of the Year 2010 by Richard Line, Editor of Telepresence and Videoconferencing Insight Newsletter. Telepresence and Videoconferencing Insight is a well-established newsletter for the user of Telepresence, videoconferencing and video-enabled Unified Communication systems. “We appreciate the recognition from one of Europe's leading authorities on the videoconferencing industry,” explains President of Vaddio, Rob Sheeley. “As the videoconferencing industry evolves from a hardware appliance model to a video algorithm in a black box, the need for peripherals becomes even more important as they become the human interface to the end user. That being said, we have really focused our product development on delivering complete solutions, such as the AutoPresenter, to deliver a complete solution for managing cameras, content and control with one easy-to-use user interface.” In April of 2010, Vaddio introduced the new AutoPresenter PTZ camera controller/video switcher and the PresenterPOD automatic presenter sensor designed to make it easier to present and create content in the classroom by combining the automation of people and their content. Also designed for the education and distance-learning marketplace, AutoTrak is Vaddio’s revolutionary automated camera tracking system designed for educational and corporate training facilities. The instructor wears a lanyard belt pack that emits infrared light received by an IR PTZ camera. Video is then sent from the IR PTZ camera to the Tracking Camera. The result is a smooth, accurate panning motion that follows the instructor as they walk around the presentation area of the classroom. Vaddio' s REVEAL IN-Wall Cameras are architectural integrated PTZ cameras that allow the camera to blend into the wall of any sophisticated videoconferencing or presentation environment. The camera box uses the depth of the wall cavity to recess the camera into the wall. There are two options for the camera glass: either clear or smart glass, which turns opaque and mutes video when the camera is turned off. Vaddio’s OneLINK revolutionary digital bus technology, developed in conjunction with TANDBERG, simplifies the installation of the Precision HD and Precision HD 1080p PTZ cameras. TANDBERG Precision HD cameras can now be run up to 100 feet using a single Cat. 5e cable. In February, Vaddio shipped the new UXHD CrossPoint, a dual input, dual output video format converter and scaler for HD-SDI and analog video signals. The YPbPr to DVI-D Format Converter changes analog component video to DVI/HDMI video output. The Vaddio stand-alone Video Whiteboard launched in June can be used in a variety of applications from videoconferencing, content creation, IMAG, rich media systems or in any system designed to incorporate a whiteboard as a video input device. Vaddio’s new Contemporary Furniture Systems for classrooms and videoconferencing applications include Edge videoconferencing carts and Instrukt educational teaching stations. Both lines are designed to integrate modern form, function and style for any classroom, boardroom or training facility. “Vaddio has set out to supply the Videoconferencing Industry with robotic PTZ cameras, camera control systems, robust furniture, electronic whiteboards and other useful peripheral equipment,” explained Line. “For its sustained innovation and its success in the market place, Vaddio is chosen as The Videoconferencing Peripheral Equipment Company of the Year 2010.”
