Architekt Music Selects Shure Microphones for New Live Venue and Recording Studio
Posted on Thursday, January 27, 2011

BUTLER, NJ, January 27, 2011 – When the owners of New Jersey’s new Architekt Music set out to create a music facility rooted in the most professional level of musicianship and highest industry standards, sound quality was their top priority. Because of this, they chose Shure microphones across the board – for the facility’s concert venue, recording studio, and professional music instruction space.

“We knew Shure microphones could stand up to abuse in a live setting,” says George Roskos, co-owner of Architekt Music. “So, it was a no-brainer that we’d choose them for our concert venue.”

The facility’s on-site, all-ages live venue, Architekt Live, has been designed to the highest standards of audio quality and professionalism for the concert patron and for performing artists. The venue was built with musicians in mind, offering easy access to the stage for loading gear, as well as an intimate concert experience. Bands and fans can expect high-quality, genre-specific shows, with a packed house start to finish and a state-of-the-art sound system, including an array of Shure microphones like the legendary SM58® and SM57, among others.

“Shure mics also made sense for our recording studio, since we can apply that same rugged standard,” adds Roskos. “Sound quality and accurate voicing come in to play as well in that environment, so again, we trusted Shure. We always have. I didn’t hesitate to use Shure mics anywhere in our facility.”

In addition to the concert venue, Architekt Music is also home to a world-class recording studio, which caters to the highest echelon of musicians and producers, and a space for professional music instruction. Both are outfitted with dozens of Shure microphones, including the new KSM313 and KSM353 ribbon microphones. Architekt also offers studio classes to help students develop their own recording skills.

“We use Shure mics in 100 percent of our sessions,” notes Roskos. “Not only do they sound incredible, they’re also extremely durable – that’s a must, given the day-to-day abuse from musicians and engineers. There is just no substitute for Shure at Architekt Music.”
