Christie participates in Expocine 2020

October 13, 2020 - Christie®, a leader in creating and delivering the world’s best visual experiences, is pleased to announce its participation at the Expocine 2020 virtual event for the Latin American cinema industry, on October 15-16, where it will demonstrate its support to partners and clients in these unprecedented times.

The Christie Expocine landing page will show videos and resources on the future of cinema technology, service offerings, Real|Laser™ illumination technology, Xenolite® lamps,  as well as training options that can help ensure exhibitors are ready to reopen.

"At Expocine 2020 we will reaffirm our commitment to the cinema industry with new programs designed specifically to get exhibitors up and running as soon as possible," explains Ricardo Laporta, Christie Cinema Sales Manager in Latin America. "These include extended warranties for specific projectors due to closures over the last few months,"he adds.

Christie understands that cinemas come in all sizes, from small screens to large PLF-formats, using both laser and Xenon technology. That’s why the company offers a service-based approach to each customer.

"We want to let our partners know that we are here to support them with stocked spare parts, flexible financing, professional services and the industry’s most comprehensive extended warranty options as theatre doors start to open. So we have been busy preparing for the reopening, updating our products and policies to help support exhibitors however we can. We also continue to manufacture and prepare for the release of next generation cinema electronics," says Laporta.

The Expocine landing page takes a closer look at the Christie Real|Laser family of RGB projectors including the electronic platforms within them. These projectors deliver long term reliability, high contrast and exceptional color at an unparalleled low cost of ownership.

Christie’s Real|Laser projectors have been embraced by exhibitors all around Latin America, including Cineplus in Brazil, Metrocinemas in Honduras, Cinemex, in Mexico, CCM Cinemas in Costa Rica, and Supercines in Ecuador, among others.

Christie’s legacy can be traced back almost 70 years and many of its lamp-based digital projectors, famed for their reliability and quality, are still in service today. With two Academy Awards for Technical Achievement, Christie is both proud of its cinematic heritage, and excited about its future.
