When Dennis Driessen, area sales manager for Benelux, had to stay at the Ronald McDonald House for two weeks after his daughter was born and hospitalized in Maastricht, Netherlands, he experienced first hand how important the house is to parents.
“Of course it is a very bad situation if your child is hospitalized, but thanks to the Ronald McDonald House, we were able to relax a bit and still stay close to our newly born daughter,” Driessen said.
When the organization was redecorating the rooms, he remembered the televisions weren’t secured and could cause injury, especially among distracted parents and small children. He contacted the house and explained the potential dangers. Swing arm mounts would also help provide extra comfort and privacy in the rooms.
“They totally agreed and were very happy to learn I could help them with this,” he said.
Milestone AV Technologies was able to donate equipment to be installed by volunteers who were re-decorating the rooms. The mounts include:
- 10 Chief Kontour monitor mounts for the bedrooms
- 5 Sanus F107 mounts for bedrooms
- 1 Sanus VLF210 mount for the living room
