Virtual reality (VR) offers exiting opportunities to visualize 3D Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) data. This week, Barco and its business partners, Intertech and TechViz, had the chance to highlight how their VR solutions can help leverage the power of GIS, at the 10th GISWORX trade fair in Dubai. More than manning a booth, Barco also hosted a speaking slot on ‘Visualizing the universe virtually’.

Thought leadership in VR
GISWORX is the main event about GIS (on Esri platforms) in the Middle East. Over 1,500 GIS users travelled to Dubai for the exhibition and three days of presentations. As VR is increasingly being utilized in GIS, Barco and its business partners made VR the showstopper at their shared Barco-Intertech-TechViz stand.
We showcased the power of our VR solutions, projecting onto a LED-lit OverView OLS-521 display. To underline our thought leadership in VR, our sales manager Tambi Alassker enlarged upon the topic during a dedicated presentation on 19 April.
